Ararat’s cultural arm Hamazkaine Nairi offers a wide range of programs to help maintain and pass on Armenian heritage to new generations. Our activities are inclusive, educational, and inspiring.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to connect with their roots, learn their language, and express themselves through music, dance, and creativity.
Toomanian Armenian School
- Held every Saturday morning
- Teaches Armenian reading, writing, history, and songs
- Led by bilingual, trained teachers
- Offers special events for Independence Day, Easter, and cultural holidays
Nairi Choir
- Open to all ages from 8 to adult
- Weekly rehearsals and seasonal performances
- Repertoire includes traditional, classical, and modern Armenian songs
- Builds confidence and vocal technique
Nairi Dance
- Dance classes for beginners through to advanced
- Boys, girls, and mixed groups
- Public performances at festivals and concerts
- Preserves centuries of traditional folk dance in a modern setting
Hrashk Playgroup
- Early childhood social group for toddlers and parents
- Storytime, craft, singing and Armenian language exposure
- Parent led with professional early childhood guidance
GOVERNANCE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Ararat is managed by volunteers and community committees. Our leadership is made up of parents, coaches, teachers, and professionals who donate their time to the growth of our programs.
